“A Strong Alumni Association Serves as the Mortar for our Alma Mater”
The Membership Committee welcomes all alumni, associates, and friends of alumni to become a part of the Tuskegee Veterinary Medical Alumni Association (TVMAA). The membership dues and generous donations go toward funding projects to benefit the School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM), the veterinary students, and the University. The Association funds also help our alma mater by bridging the gap between the students and the Association by providing opportunities in a variety of ways, such as the Mentorship and Visiting Scholars programs.A strong alumni association consists of members who are committed to serve as lifelong partners by serving as ambassadors for the School and the University; they offer their time, goodwill and expertise to the veterinary academic programs; they support the School and the University financially; and they help to with recruiting potential students.
The Membership Goals:
1. To increase membership by strengthening alumni connections
2. To work with the School (SVM) to provide a “coming home” venue at the Annual Veterinary Symposium
3. To engage in consistent communications with TVMAA members and the SVM Alumni Affairs Office
Active membership in the TVMAA (Association) is open to all graduates of the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. Associate membership is open to all other veterinarians who have an interest in the goals of the TVMAA. Honorary membership is made by nomination to the Executive Council of a non-veterinary professional who has made outstanding contributions to advancing the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine and/or outstanding service to the TVMAA.
